AC Shadows Reveals Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious encounter draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline presents a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine sect.
The mission concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Additional Content
Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Exclusive arms
- Survey Corps steed
Newest Free Story Update
This update also introduces the game's third complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
